We're inviting artists, community groups, venues, and individuals across Fishersgate, Lancing, Shoreham, Sompting, and Southwick to contribute events that embody this spirit.
Whether you're planning a concert, art exhibition, workshop, family activity, or community gathering, we'd love to feature your event as part of the festival programme.
To make the submission process smooth, here's everything you'll need to have ready:
1. Your Event Details
Basic Information:
- Event title
- Date and time
- Duration (how long your event lasts)
- Brief description (1-2 sentences for event listings)
- Full description (2-3 paragraphs about what makes your event special)
- Age restrictions or audience information
Practical Details:
- Ticket pricing (free, paid, or donation-based)
- Booking information and links
- What attendees should bring
- Weather considerations (for outdoor events)
- Schedule or programme (if applicable)
2. Venue Information
You'll need to provide:
- Venue name and full address (including postcode)
- Town/area (Fishersgate, Lancing, Shoreham, Sompting, or Southwick)
- Location coordinates (latitude and longitude) - Don't worry, we'll show you how to find these!
- Parking information
- Public transport options
- Accessible routes and entrances
How to Find Your Venue Coordinates:
- Go to Google Maps and search for your venue
- Right-click on the exact location
- Select "Copy coordinates" (or the first number pair shown)
- The first number is your latitude, the second is longitude
- Example: 50.834501, -0.233899
Alternatively, use LatLong.net to search by address.
3. Images
You'll need to prepare and upload two images in WebP format:
Card Image (Event Listings):
- File name format: YourEventNameCard.webp (e.g., FamilyFunDayCard.webp)
- Format: WebP (required)
- Landscape orientation (horizontal)
- This appears on event listings and search results
- Should clearly represent your event with good visual impact
Header Image (Event Detail Page):
- File name format: YourEventNameHeader.webp (e.g., FamilyFunDayHeader.webp)
- Format: WebP (required)
- Wide landscape orientation
- This appears as the hero banner at the top of your event detail page
- Can be more atmospheric or scene-setting
Use Our Image Converter Tool (Required)
Important: You must use our Image Converter Tool to convert your images to WebP format with the correct naming convention.
Steps:
- Prepare your two images (any common format: JPG, PNG, etc.)
- Go to the Image Converter
- Upload each image and follow the naming instructions
- Download the converted WebP files
- Upload the WebP files when submitting your event form
Image Tips:
- Use high-quality, well-lit photos
- Ensure text on images is readable and not too small
- Choose images that capture the spirit and essence of your event
- The Card image should work well as a thumbnail
- The Header image should be visually striking for the full-width banner
- Follow the naming convention exactly: YourEventNameCard.webp and YourEventNameHeader.webp
4. Accessibility Information
We're committed to making the festival accessible to everyone. Please provide:
- Wheelchair accessibility details
